The Mission of the annual Tori Amos Tribute Show / RAINN Benefit and concert is to honor the music of Tori Amos. Talented and skilled musicians who enjoy performing the music of Tori Amos come together to share their interpretations of her songs, and to help raise funds for the charity, RAINN.

The Tori Amos Tribute Show was founded by Lisa Furukawa Ray, a pianist/singer/songwriter from Durham, NC.

The first show was held on April 12, 2002 in Carrboro, NC. With a budget of absolute zero, and only a few weeks to promote, organize, and deliver the event, several hundred dollars were raised to benefit RAINN.

Local artists performed the music of Tori Amos, and had a great time being part of such a unique and wonderful event.

This first event was not only a success, but a great learning experience for all involved. In addition to the artists who are willing to put up their time and talent, there are many local folks who contribute to the show by hosting artists, providing food and comfort at the show, and generally pitching in where necessary to make the event possible.

Five years later, we are still going.

Each Tribute Show event brings the fans to the music, allows us all to have a great time, and raises several thousand dollars for RAINN,

All this, and still running on an operating budget of absolute zero.

And that's really what the Tori Amos Tribute Show is all about: taking the things that we have and giving freely for the benefit of those who need it.

And for the love of Tori!
